Background

• The company was founded in in 1959.
• The work and implementation had started  in 1961-1962.
•  The project had been received from the Iraqi side after the completion of construction works and installing the machines in July, 1969.
•  The State  Company for Drugs Industry had been established  In 1966 under the law of state  institutions No. 66  1965. its capital estimated 10 million Iraqi dinars.
• The company was opened officially on 17 July 1969
• The expermental  production had been implemented  in 1970
• After the law of the Companies No. 22 in1997 had been passed , The State  Company for Drugs Industry  & Medical Appliances in Samarra was established ,with  a capital of 271,644 million dinars.
• The capital of the company had been raised  to (1771644) billion dinars in 26/12/1999. 
• The company was able to meet the iraqi  needs  of medicines and medical supplies.
